Requirements for application to our M.S. Program:

Min. GPA: 2.50 out of 4.00,
Min. ALES: 70 (Say) (or min GRE quantitative 155 (700 old version))

Requirements for application to our Ph.D. Program:

Min. GPA: 3.00 our of 4.00 (from M.S. courses)
Min. ALES: 75 (Say) (or min GRE quantitative 156 (720 old version))


In addition to these you should perform well in our department's entrance exam (written and oral). For more information about the application procedure, English language requirements, deadlines and exam dates please check the webpage of Graduate Candidates.

 

Application period for our Graduate Program for Spring 2021 term is 11 - 18 January, 2021. The entrance exam consists of two parts, written and oral. There is no pre-evaluation, all applicants are expected to take the written exam. See sample exams below. Only successful applicants in the written exam will be invited to the oral exam. The exam dates are 16 February 09:00 for the written exam and 17 February 10:00 for the oral exam. International applicants who are unable to come to Istanbul for the exams are kindly asked to contact Fatih Ecevit.


Important notice for PhD candidates: We strongly recommend that, prior to the entrance exam, PhD candidates should contact at least one faculty member who you might want as your research advisor and get her/his opinion.
